With the constant change in weather, water, and environmental conditions that might possibly affect the fish - the fish may prefer different habitat or locations that provide something that might make them a little more comfortable.

If I can offer any suggestions... I would not leave home without a Ratltrap lipless rattlebait, 6" Phantom or 8" Manta glidebait, and Spring or regular-size Bulldawg - when fishing in the spring. A 6" Jake would be my backup. They seem to really like the natural, minnow-type lures when things are going pretty slow. Gotta keep up!
